Timber-Loc Large Game Mount: Wall Bracket with shims

How to use the shims for a custom fit. Always use a wall stud when using the large game mount.

Once the mounting plate is mounted on the taxidermy mount you will need to test fit the wall bracket.

Place the two 3” wall screws through the round wall bracket and mark where they will screw straight into a test 2×6 or 2×4.

Use all of the stackable shims for the first test fit.

Remove the shims as needed to find the right fit. The fit should be tight and snug to the test board. This will create a 360-degree compression fit tight to

the wall.

Now mount the wall bracket and shims to the wall stud and hang your trophy. You will feel the mounting plate attached to the wall bracket. Once you

have it adjusted to where it looks straight, give it a very gentle tap on the top of the shoulder mount to help set it in place.

The fit should be tight and you will need to tuck the hair around and behind the mount.
